During the summer of 2013 five yacht-race is going to be, they will be held in the waters of Irkutsk reservoir and Lake Baikal. The first race "summer sailing" had held from June 14-16 at the Irkutsk Reservoir. The regatta «Baikal Race 2013" in August seems to be the most difficult for athletes and the most spectacular fans. The starting point of the competition is a picturesque bay (Zagli) on Olkhon island. From there, across the widest point on the lake, the race participants will catch the wind in the direction of the peninsula Holy Nose. After three days of testing skill and courage the yachts go back along the same route. The final race of this year will be a traditional regatta "Velvet autumn", collecting a large number of participants - from amateurs to famous athletes.
